Myrtle Beach SkyWheel
The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel was the first observation wheel of its kind in the United States when it opened on May 20, 2011. Standing 200-feet above sea level, the SkyWheel gives you a whole new perspective of all the beauty the Grand Strand has to offer. You and your family get a rare bird’s eye view for miles of our breathtaking high-rise hotel skyline and sky-blue Atlantic waters. Whether you take flight day or night, the takeaway will be unforgettable from the first second of your takeoff. Your flight begins when you enter one of the 42 climate controlled and fully enclosed gondolas. Open all year long, you are always sure to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable flight, no matter the temperature outside. It’s one of the best things to do in Myrtle Beach!
Each flight is a unique experience for children and adults of all ages. The climate-controlled gondolas seat 2 to 6 people (our VIP gondola seats up to 4); don’t worry, no strangers will be seated with your party, it’s a private flight each time you board. The SkyWheel is handicap accessible and is perfectly safe for all ages – from our elderly visitors to infants to moms to be. Once on-board, your flight is three revolutions, which lasts about 10 minutes. No matter how hot or cold it is outside, our climate controlled gondolas are always the perfect temperature. And there’s no bad time of day to take a SkyWheel flight: see miles of the Myrtle Beach coast.
Be sure to bring your camera at night, when our SkyWheel lights up the sky starting at dusk.
Sit back, relax. Your next experience in Myrtle Beach is written in the stars aboard the sky-high SkyWheel. You can’t miss it – and, after your flight, you’ll know why.
